Known as the Heliopolis or ‘The City of the Sun’, Baalbek’s ruins comprise the most impressive ancient site in Lebanon. It is consisting of Roman temples complex (Jupiter, Bacchus and Venus), Then visit Anjar is an example of an inland commercial center, built by Caliph Walid in the 8th century. The city of Anjar bears outstanding witness to the Umayyad civilization, including two palaces, a mosque and a public bath.
